Kebo Valley and
Northeast Harbor Golf Courses hosted the
playing of the 17th Annual Bar Harbor Bank &
Trust Open this past weekend. This charity
golf tournament run by community volunteers
has become one of the best in the state.
Adding to the excitement of this year’s
tournament was Chris Carpenter of Thomaston
scoring a hole-in-one at Northeast on hole
12. Top winner of the 36 hole tournament was
Joe Alverez (138) and top winner of the 18
tournament was Tom Caron (72). Net proceeds
of $25,000 will benefit the Southwest Harbor
Medical Center, a division of Maine Coast
Memorial Hospital.
