As a nurse in the Mary Dow Center, Kathleen is a true advocate for the needs of her patients. She does more than deliver excellent nursing care. She gets to know patients on a personal level and in doing so can often identify something, large or small, that just might make life easier or less stressful for the patient and/or their families. Kathleen often make a cake for a patient (or staff member) to say Happy Birthday or “Yea, you made it through your treatment”. Kathleen finds the good in everyone and everything.
