The Eleanor Widener Dixon Memorial Clinic
Located in Gouldsboro, this bustling outpatient clinic of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital provides a vast array of medical services to the Downeast community and the residents and guests of the Schoodic Peninsula.
Grindstone Neck Golf Course
(963-7760) is located in Winter Harbor, Maine (From US Route 1 in West Gouldsboro take right on RT. 186. At flag pole, take right through center of Winter Harbor, left on Grindstone Ave. to Clubhouse; approx. 6 miles from US Route 1).
This 9-hole course features 3,095 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Look for eagles, ospreys, views of Acadia and lobster boats at work. Designed by Alex Handy, the Grindstone Neck golf course opened in 1895 and is one of the oldest courses in the US.

Annual Schoodic Scramble to Benefit Eleanor Widener Dixon Memorial
Clinic which takes place September 15 OR 16, 2012.
One day tournament: Players have choice of Saturday or Sunday.
Team size: Four-person team plays Scramble format. Individual entries will be grouped in a foursome.
Handicaps: All players must submit estimated handicap. Please, only one A (0-10) and one B (11-20) player per team.
Team Structure: 2 Men’s Flights, 1 Women’s Flight, 1 Couple’s Flight. First 40 teams accepted. Prizes will be apportioned in each category per enrollment.
Registrations begin at 6:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
Tee times: Shotgun starts at 7:30 AM & 12:30 PM both days.
Walking tournament: Limited number of pull carts available.
Entry Fee: $85 per person ($340 per team) all inclusive. $39 per person is tax deductible as a donation to the Eleanor Widener Dixon Memorial Clinic, an Outpatient Department of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.
