Ellsworth was the host city this past weekend for the 79th annual convention of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. President Lynn Dunton and four Auxiliary officers visited Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and presented a check from the Auxiliary. It has become tradition for the Department President to make a donation to the Veterans Home or Hospital that is located in the city where the annual convention is held. The members enjoyed a tour of the new F. Eugene Dixon, Jr. Emergency Center at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.
