The Maine Coast Memorial Hospital Diabetes and Nutrition Center will offer a Diabetes Self-Management Program on Wednesday, July 14 and July 21 from 5:30 – 8:30 P.M. in the Classroom of the Medical Office Building (Door C) at 50 Union Street, Ellsworth.

These classes cover the seven diabetes self-care behaviors: healthy eating, being active, monitoring, taking medication, problem solving, healthy coping and reducing risks.

Learning these skills will help keep your diabetes under control and reduce the risk of serious complications.

A physician referral is usually required for insurance reimbursement. Preregistration is required in order to set up appointments with the diabetes educators to prepare you for the classes.
